![]() Your blanket dream meaning might be suggesting that it’s time to uncover these emotions, address them, and find ways to express them constructively. Similarly, you might be concealing feelings, either knowingly or unknowingly, which are yearning to be acknowledged. Think of it this way: when we cover ourselves with a blanket, we’re hiding from the external world, even if just momentarily. ![]() When you dream about seeing blanket, it could symbolize hidden emotions, buried beneath layers of your subconscious. Hidden Emotionsĭreams often act as mirrors, reflecting our innermost feelings and fears. It’s interesting how a simple blanket in dream meaning can have such profound implications. These relationships will act like that protective layer, offering comfort and warmth in the cold times. It feels secure, doesn’t it? Similarly, in your life, you might soon experience a period where your relationships, be it familial, platonic, or romantic, grow stronger and more affectionate. Imagine the sensation of wrapping yourself up in a thick, soft blanket. Blankets, in their very essence, exude warmth, security, and affection. Weight is also important to keep in mind, as some of these blankets are lightweight enough to be rolled up and tossed into a tote bag or pocket, while other heavier models may be best left in the car between use. When you dream about blankets, one of the most comforting interpretations relates to the idea of warmth in relationships. Others simply roll up into a small zippered pouch, which may be more portable but can be less convenient for carrying. Most of the options on this list come with their own integrated carrying case, whether that’s a drawstring bag or a shoulder-strap. Cotton offers more comfort without weighing you down too much, while wool is superior for warmth and coziness but offers less water-resistance. ![]() When it comes to materials, polyester and nylon are the most water-resistant and lightweight options - but they can often overheat in the sun, meaning you’ll need an extra towel to act as a heat barrier and cushion. It’s crucial to consider how many people you’re looking to accommodate - is this mainly for you and a partner? For your immediate family? For a group of eight friends throwing a beach barbecue? You don’t want to get stuck with unnecessary material if you’re just looking for a little space to spread out, and you also want to make sure you have enough room for everyone. Tips for Buying a Beach Blanket Prioritize size and materialsīeach blankets come in all shapes and sizes, from round to rectangular. ![]() The Details: 107 x 77 inches | 1 pound | Polyester ![]() It’s also available in seven playful patterns, from tropical leaves to a giant drawing of a sea turtle. The brand offers a generous lifetime replacement policy if your blanket should ever rip, but it’s unlikely you’ll need it, as it’s made of tear-resistant polyester. The blanket itself is thin and coated with water-resistant PA, which makes it easy to clean and wipe sand off of - but also means it absorbs heat when in direct sunlight, so you’ll want to throw your beach towel on top for added protection and padding. We love that there’s also a handy zippered pocket so you can tuck your phone and other valuables away from the sand. Just fill the built-in corner pockets with sand to weigh it down or double your peace of mind by using the six included stakes to keep it in place. The UrbanEco Outdoors Lightweight Beach Blanket ticks all of our boxes: It’s jumbo-sized (it fits up to eight people!), weighs next to nothing (1 pound!), is a breeze to pack back into its carrying case, and it won’t blow away in the wind. The material can get hot in direct sun, so you may want to layer towels on top. ![]()

![]() We recommend researching beforehand to determine what range of antenna you need, and whether you want an indoor model or an antenna made for outdoor installation. Better antennas and optional amplifiers will go a long way toward bringing in more channels, but that's only part of the equation. (Check out I just discovered a new way to cut the cord - and there’s no subscription fee to learn about USB tuners that don't need a TV.)īut simply having an antenna won't automatically solve all of your over-the-air TV woes. You don't need to spend a lot of money – the best cheap TV antennas do a great job, and even a $12 set of bunny ears might do the trick – and you don't even need a TV. Getting an antenna is the first step toward cutting the cord or pulling in free local channels. ![]() For the best performance, consider an outdoor antenna, which costs $100 or more. An amplified antenna offers better performance, and will cost between $30 and $100. Non-amplified indoor antennas generally sell for between $20 to $40, but there are plenty of cheap TV antennas that sell for less than $20 that offer acceptable performance. But that also means having another device to plug in, and another power outlet to give up. Non-amplified or amplified: An amplified antenna uses an additional signal strength booster that can help weak signals come in clearly with a little extra juice. Outdoor antennas are larger, and work better when positioned as high up as you can get it – a rooftop mast being the ideal installation. Indoor or outdoor: Whether or not to get an outdoor antenna will largely depend upon the building you're in and the surrounding environment, since obstacles like house walls and even trees can prevent signal from getting through to an indoor antenna. Any antenna that's rated for 50 miles or more will either be a large outdoor unit, or come with an amplifier to boost the signal it gets, if not both. If you're more than 30 miles from your local broadcast tower, you'll want to step up to an amplified model. Location and range: If you're in or near a city, there's a good chance you can make do with a small indoor antenna, since you'll have several stations within a 10 or 20 mile radius that can be pulled in without a big aerial or powered amplifier. ![]() If you're shopping for a TV antenna, you're in luck, because there's no better option for getting live TV for the lowest price possible: Free! This work demonstrated the shortest transistor ever and that Moore’s law can continue a while longer by proper engineering of the semiconductor material and device architecture. The characteristics of the nanometer-sized transistor have been measured and show a subthreshold swing ~65 mV/decade and On/Off current ratio ~10 6. In comparison to current materials, these newly discovered materials have lower dielectric constants, larger band gaps, and a larger carrier effective mass making them ideally matched to the device requirements. These novel materials are atomically uniform at a thickness down to a monolayer. The team used these materials to fabricate a fully operational transistor. However, researchers have demonstrated that using the semiconducting material molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2) and single-walled carbon nanotubes, the transistor gate length can be reduced to a record size of 1 nanometer. It is not possible to shrink it below 5 nanometers using silicon. The gate length of a transistor is the defining parameter of the transistor size, and is presently about 20 nanometers in commercial electronic chips. Since the introduction of integrated circuits, the observation referred to as Moore’s law has been met - about every year, the number of transistors per unit area has doubled continuously, which is a direct consequence of our ability to continue to decrease the size of a transistor. The next generation of microelectronics will only be realized by finding ways to continue to reduce the size of a transistor. The result of this research shows that it is feasible to continue to reduce the size of a transistor, all the way down to 1 nanometer. Below this feature size, it was not clear how to build next-generation devices. ![]() However, when the gate length of the transistors approaches 5 nanometers, it was believed that our ability to continue to shrink a transistor size would reach its limit. This has been realized by the ability to decrease the size of a transistor. Moore’s law states that the number of transistors per square inch on a microchip has doubled every year since they were invented. They did so using atomically flat, two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide semiconductor and a single-walled carbon nanotube imbedded in zirconium dioxide. However, scientists built fully functional, nanometer-sized transistors. Simply put, the physics and atomic structural imperfections couldn’t be overcome. It has long been thought that building nanometer-sized transistors was impossible. The width of the nanotube is less than 1/1000 th of the diameter of a red blood cell. ![]() The atomic structure of the layers in the transmission electron microscope image on the right shows the nanotube embedded in the ZrO 2 layer and resting on a silicon dioxide (SiO 2) layer. The current flowing through the atomically thin molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2) material, placed between the source (S) and drain (D) terminals, is controlled by the voltage applied to the 1-nanometer-thick single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT), imbedded in zirconium dioxide (ZrO 2) dielectric material.
